Govt open for talks to end SRTC strike: Minister
Jammu, Mar 9 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government today said it was ready to have ''purposeful'' dialogue with the workers' union to end the stalemate over calling off strike by the State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) employees.
Responding to the suggestions, Transport Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen told Employees' Joint Action Committee Vice-president Abdul Qayoom Wani that the government would ''love to sort out the issues amicably''.
Mr Yaseen, however, said public interest was of paramount importance and had fixed a meeting with leaders of the joint action committee tomorrow to discuss the issue.
