Five smugglers, thief arrested in Kashmir
Srinagar, Mar 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested five timber smugglers and a thief in the Kashmir valley, official sources said.
They said police at Kunzar in Baramulla district were receiving complaints that some people were looting valuables from local mosques in the area.
A trap was laid and a thief Fayaz Ahmad War was arrested red- handed when he was stealing valuables from Jamia Masjid at Ogumna Kunzar.
In another incident a police party headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Kunzar arrested five smugglers and recovered a large quantity of timber from a truck early this morning.
