CPI (M) criticises attack on its headquarters
Patna, Mar 9 (UNI) The CPI (M) today condemned the attack on its office in New Delhi, allegedly by BJP and RSS workers and demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the incident.
State party secretary Sarvoday Sharma said a meeting of the party state committee was called soon after the incident and a resolution was passed urging Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil to ensure immediate arrest of the guilty.
''The party will stage a dharna at district headquarters across the state tomorrow in protest against the incident,'' Mr Sharma said.
Saying the incident reflected the fascist trait of the BJP and RSS, he said there was no place for such action in a democratic country. The BJP was resorting to such tactics due to the growing popularity of the CPI (M), he added.
