Three women among nine killed in UP road accident

Kanpur, Mar 8 (UNI) Nine people, including three women, were killed and four sustained serious injuries when a jeep carrying them turned turtle in Sajeti police station area early today.

The incident occurred when the driver lost control over the jeep, which overturned after hitting a roadside tree in Sajeti area around 0430 hrs, police said.

The jeep, carrying 13 people, was returning from Allahabad to Kalpi.

The injured were admitted to the Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital in a critical condition.

The dead bodies had been sent for the postmortem, the police said.
