Sugar prices ease on poor buying support
Navi Mumbai, Mar 8 (UNI) Sugar prices declined today in the wholesale sugar market, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.
Sugar prices in small grade fell by Rs 3 per quintal on poor buying support while medium grade rose by Rs 20 per quintal on physical buying.
Ex-mill small and medium grade slashed by Rs 15 and Rs 20 per quintal respectively amid sustained heavy selling pressure, dealers said.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,477/1,520, Medium grade: Rs 1,510/1,597.
Ex-mill Small grade: Rs 1,460/1,480 and Medium grade: Rs 1,490/1,540.
