RSVP 11th convocation on Mar 15

Tirupati, Mar 8 (UNI) The 11th convocation of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) will be held at the open air auditorium of the Vidyapeetha on March 15.

Former Orissa Chief Minister Janaki Vallabh Patnaik will deliver the convovation address, while RSVP Chancellor Dr V R Panchamukhi will preside over the function, Vidyapeetha Vice-Chancellor Prof Harekrishna Satapathy told newspersons here today.

This year doctorates (honoris causa) will be conferred on eight renowned sanskrit scholars.

For the first time a woman Sanskrit scholar Prof Usha Satyavrat and a Muslim scholar Prof Ghulam Dastagiri A Birajdar, will be conferred doctorates, he said.

'Sastratha Sangoshti,' a series of lectures on traditional sastras is being organised for the first time in the Vidyapeetha on March 16, he added.
