Ramdev Baba aims to teach Yoga to 6.5 crore people outside India
Jamshedpur, Mar 8 (UNI) Famous Yoga guru Baba Ramdev today said he had set a target to teach Indian Yoga to about 6.5 crore people across the world as the benefits of Yoga should not be confined to India alone.
Talking to newspersons on his arrival here to attend a six-day yoga camp, which would begin from tomorrow, Baba said, ''Yoga is not a religion but a science and philosophy which guides people to attain a sound body and mind. But the ultimate thing is 'Samadhi' that can be attained thorough a healthy body and mind.'' He said in today's competitive world, tension is the biggest problem worldwide and the people of the country had come to the grip of this mental stress.
''Tension is the root cause of all diseases and yoga is the only solution to get rid of tension, '' he asserted.
Baba also expressed concern over the increasing number of diseases like arthritis, heart disease, cancer and obesity in the country and claimed that all these maladies could be cured, and some cases be controlled through regular practice of yoga.
Expressing concern over the act of terrorism and extremism in the country, he said those, who had lost mental peace, had chosen the path of self-destruction. He also advised them to follow the path of Yoga to come to the mainstream.
Baba, however, came down heavily to those political leaders, indulging in narrow regionalism in Maharashtra, and said it was an insult to the nation.
