Punjabi daily columnist remanded to 14-day judicial custody
Jalandhar, Mar 8 (UNI) A local court today remanded columnist Harbhjan Singh of a Punjabi daily to 14-day judicial custody.
Judicial Magistrate A K Jain remanded Singh, who works with Mohali based 'Rozana Spokesman', to judicial custody till March 21.
A Punjab police team raided the newspaper office yesterday and later arrested Singh from Chandigarh for allegedly writing a derogatory article on February 24 against a particular community.
A case under section 295-A of the IPC was registered on the complaint of Guru Ravi Dass Action Committee against the daily's Editor-in-Chief Joginder Singh and writer of the article the next day.
