Men trying to steal iron from Metro project arrested
New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) The East district police has arrested three people who had tried to steal iron parts from the Delhi Metro project site near Akshardham temple.
On the morning of March 6, security guards at the project site opened fire on three men who tried to steal iron parts. Police later found an abandoned car near Pandav Nagar with a blood soaked jacket.
A police team searched hospitals for the criminals who might have got injured in the firing and traced Anuj Tiwari admitted to one of the hospitals.
Following sustained efforts, they arrested Uday Kumar Gulfam.
They revealed that they used to steal costly iron article which fetched them a good price.
Anuj Tiwari is under treatment and is yet to be arrested.
