CGHS employees threaten indefinite strike from March 11

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) About 7,000 CGHS employees across the country today threatened to go on an indefinite strike from March 11 against privatisation.

The employees, under the banner of the All India CGHS employees Association, are demanding that the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry cancels the contract of BVG India Limited employees who have replaced Group D staff.

CGHS General Secretary Ram Kishan said the Association is of the view by that the future of the existing employees is jeopardised by engaging contract labour under CGHS.

''The Ministry's anti-employees attitude has forced the CGHS employees to call for an indefinite strike,'' he added.
