BJP seeks to move no-trust against Speaker Alamgir Alam
Ranchi, Mar 8 (UNI) The Opposition BJP today sent a letter to Jharkhand Assembly Secretariat seeking to move a no-confidence motion against Speaker Alamgir Alam alleging gross violation of his conduct.
A letter signed by party legislators--Saryu Rai, Dinesh Kumar Singh, Neelkanth Singh Munda, P N Singh, Loknath Mahto and Ashok Kumar brought five-point allegation against the Speaker mainly making mention of irregularities of appointment in the Assembly secretariat.
They alleged that no action was taken against the officers, who allegedly were party to the wrong appointment despite a CD sent to the Speaker substantiating the crime.
The signatories also said the Speaker was protecting the ministers in question hour in the House and not taking action on privilege motion brought against some ministers.
