AIADMK to demonstrate against TN Govt on wages for workers
Chennai, Mar 8 (UNI) The main opposition AIADMK will stage a demonstration at Valparai tomorrow to condemn the DMK Government for not fixing proper wages for the workers in Valaparai estates.
In a statement here, AIADMK Supremo J Jayalalithaa said, despite several pleas from the workers, the government was yet to heed to their demand for an increase in wages, which stood at Rs 79.85 for a long time.
Stating that workers had sought her support on the issue, she said the AIADMK would conduct a protest in front of Valparai Municipality tomorrow, in which, party minorities welfare-wing Secretary Liyakath Alikhan and Coimbatore rural south district Secretary S P Velumani would take part.
