Three schoolgirls killed as a tractor falls into a canal
Bhavnagar, Mar 7 (UNI) Three schoolgirls were killed and 16 others injured when a tractor, in which they were travelling, fell into a small canal, near Jasor village in Mahuva taluka of the district today.
According to police, at least 50 schoolgirls and their teachers were proceeding on a picnic to Bagdana from Nana Zinjhuda village in a tractor this morning. The driver lost control over the tractor and it fell into the canal, killing three girls on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as Chanduben Kalania (13), Paramben Pipalia (10) and Aarti Rajeshbhai (4). Sixteen others, including two teachers, were injured and they were rushed to a hospital.
