School boy commits suicide in Shimla town

Shimla, Mar 7 (UNI) An eighteen-year-old school boy committed suicide hours after his father asked him to concentrate on his studies rather than wasting time on other activities, police today said.

Nitin Kumar, a student of a local government school in Fagli locality of the town committed suicide by hanging from the roof of his house.

The Police said Nitin's body was found hanging in his room early today.

Though no suicide note has been recovered from the site, police said Nitin committed suicide after he was admonished by his father for wasting his time on other activities rather then concentrating on his studies.

His body has been handed over to his relatives after post mortem examination, it said, adding that a case has been registered and investigations are on.
