Opposition raises anti-govt slogan in J'khand Assembly

Ranchi, Mar 7 (UNI) Accusing the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government of overlooking the norms in construction of health centre buildings across the state, the Opposition members shouted anti-government slogans in the Assembly here today.

Raising the issue, Inder Singh Namdhari (Independent) said the construction of health centre buildings were being done overlooking the government norms and demanded action against the officials concerned.

Mr Vinod Kumar Singh (CPI-ML) said construction work of upto Rs 25 lakh should be done without inviting any tender but construction of more than that should be done according to the norms.

Refuting the charges, state's Health Minister Bhanu Pratap Shahi said funds had been allocated to the deputy commissioners concerned and they were using them according to the government norms.

''Action would be taken against the officials if found guilty,'' Mr Shahi informed the House.
