K'taka budget to be presented in Parliament on Monday

Bangalore, Mar 7(UNI) The Karnataka budget for 2008-09 will be presented in Parliament on March ten, state Chief Secretary Sudhakar Rao informed here today.

Speaking to UNI here, he said Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram would present the budget as Karnataka was under President's rule.

To a question, he said the main thrust areas of the budget would be poverty alleviation, rural empowerment, irrigation, power, rural and urban infrastructure, health and education.
