Bangalore, Mar 7 (UNI) Indus International School (IIS) and Singapore International Foundation (SIF) today launched a pilot program on vocational training for Indian students.
The program envisaged to equip students with good command over spoken English, Information and Communication Technology and life skills to improve their employability and enhance their potential for the higher education.
The IIS and SIF, have come together to conduct the Vocational training program and signed a memorandum and developed a co-curriculum for the program in June 2007.
Mr Ramaswamy Reddy, Secretary of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Education Society, which selects the students for the training, said that the course is different from normal teaching practice and will inculcate self-directed, collabortive learning in preparation for higher education.
