Housewife raped at gunpoint, accused absconding
New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) Police today registered a case against three persons for allegedly raping a 32-year-old housewife in Mukherjee Nagar area of north-west Delhi.
However, no arrests have been made so far as all the accused are absconding, police said today, adding that the incident took place last night when only two women were present at the Sant Nirankari Nagar Colony house.
According to a senior police official, the accused went to the victim's house at about 2330 hrs yesterday where prime accused Devendra, a financier, raped her while his associate Bhima held her.
The third accused, Surendra -- brother of Devendra -- confined the other women -- victim's sister-in-law -- at gunpoint.
The victim's husband was thrown out of the job by Devendra some time back and the house where the victim's family lived was jointly owned by the victim's husband and the prime accused.
The dispute between them was over the house, the official added.
The victim's family comprised of her husband, his brother and wife, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and two children -- daughters of both brothers, aged four and six.
Meanwhile, neighbours said Devendra was a dubious character who dealt in disputed properties and had his office in Kingsway Camp and there was a property dispute between him and the victim's husband.
