Four naxalites arrested in Malkangiri
Malkangiri, Mar 7 (UNI) Four naxalites were arrested from Tulenguda under Motu police station limit during a combing operation launched by the Special Operation group (SOG).
Malkangiri Superintendent of Police S K Gojbhiya said the combing operation was intensified after one SOG jawan was injured during an exchange of fire between the forces and naxalites on March 5 at Kansariguda.
He said the four naxalites have been identified as Damodar, Durga Nagra and Kanha.
They were produced before the court and later sent into police custody.
Two of the ultras- Damodar and Durga- were involved in the killing of Motu police station in-charge of Durga Madhab Mishra last year.
The four left wing ultras, recruited as lower cadre were also invloved in the exchange of fire on January 29 last at Lingarajkonda and Pawanpalli.
The police have also recovered some naxal literatures and wires used in the explosive besides some gelatin sticks from them.
