Surrendered militant shot dead in Kishtwar, Jammu
Jammu, Mar 6 (UNI) An unidentified group of militants gunned down a surrendered ultra in the remote Marwah area of Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district, official sources today said.
They said the deceased, identified as Nasir Hussain of Nowgam, Marwah, was shot dead from a point blank range by the militants at Masjid Mohalla on Tuesday night.
''He was going to offer prayers at the Masjid when he was attacked by the militants,'' they said.
Hussain, who was leading a normal life after he surrendered arms before the security forces, died on the spot, they said.
Searches were being conducted by security forces to hunt down the militants who fled the spot after killing their old colleague, they added.
