Six killed as van falls into ditch near Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam, Mar 6: Six tribals, including four women, were killed and 16 injured when the overloaded cement-laden van in which they were travelling fell into a roadside ditch near Pakanapudi village in this district, late last night.

District police officials today said the victims, S Munni (40), G Parvathi (28), P Kondamma (48), P Saravana, G Ponnu (45) and B Appalaswamy (45), belonged to Buraja village in the district. The injured were admitted to Aruku Government primary health centre here.
