Manipur Assembly discusses health, commerce and industries

Imphal, Mar 6 (UNI) The Manipur Assembly today began discussion on medical, health, commerce and industries.

Municipal administration, urban development, sericulture, and horticulture are the other issues to be taken up for discussion which will continue till late and be followed by voting.

Meanwhile, Public Works Department Minister K Ranjit informed the House that the Imphal Tamenglong road will be completed within this month.

About Rs 537.61 lakh has been spent so far on the project.

Education Minister L Jayantakumar said there was no proper guideline on the number of teaching and non-teaching staff that may be posted in a school.

The government is trying to frame a policy on the matter, he said.
