Grocery shop sealed following food poisoning

Basirhat, Mar 06 (UNI) Police has sealed a grocery shop at Keotsa under Chandipur Panchayet in Baduria Block where more than a thousand people fell sick after consuming food on March 4 at a function.

Sub-divisional Officer Apapla Sett said today that the police action was necessitated suspecting that the edible oil supplied by the grocer might be the cause of mishap.

A medical teams visited the affected villages, collected necessary materials and sent those for testing.

Four medical camps were functioning there, she said.
