Five killed, 5 injured in J

Jammu, Mar 6 (UNI) At least five people were killed and five others injured in two different road accidents in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said today.

Three people died on the spot and four other received injuries, three of them critically when a tipper in which they were travelling, rolled down and fell into a deep gorge near Manjal Jangi Nallah in tehsil Gool of Reasi district.

Police parties and locals rushed to the spot and rescued the injured. Three of the seriously wounded, were immediately referred to the Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu.

The deceased have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed and Gulzar Ahmed.

''In another incident late night yesterday, two persons died and another got injured when a tractor trolley rolled down at Machedi road near Sukrala area of Kathua district,'' police said adding that the deceased have been identified as Anil Kumar, 23 and Balbir Singh, 22.
