Bihar to be a developed state by 2015 : Nitish
Patna, Mar 6 (UNI) Reiterating his commitment to make Bihar a developed state by 2015, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today exhorted the people to cooperate in the mission.
After offering special prayer at Baikunthnath Shiv Temple near Fatuha, Mr Kumar said since ancient time Bihar was the land of intellect and talent and the people had proved their identity outside the state and in the world through hard work and sheer intelligence. ''Bihar would be a developed state by 2015 and being a Bihari would be a matter of pride,'' he added.
Expressing concern over the attack on Biharis outside the state, including Maharahstra, he said, ''The states were formed for administrative efficiency and smooth functioning of government at local levels. Under fundamental rights a person can move anywhere in the country to earn a livelihood. The government is trying to prevent migration from Bihar by providing employment opportunities to the people in the state,'' he maintained.
