Under influence of tantrik, woman kills nephew

Amritsar, Mar 5 (UNI) A one and a half month old child was allegedly strangulated to death by his maternal aunt in the border village of Daoke last night, police today stated.

According to the police, Satinder Kaur on the advice of a tantrik strangulated her nephew to death at her house and then buried his body in a field on the outskirts of the village. The police reached the village after the parents of the child,hailing from Himatpura village lodged a complaint that their son Harsimran was missing.

On investigations the police took into custody, Satinder Kaur and also recovered the body of the child. She told the police that she had murdered the child on the advise of a tantrik as she was issuless and desired a child.

The police has registered a case and are looking for the tantrik.
