Trailor truck stranded on track, affects train service
Tiruchirapalli, Mar 5: Train services between Srirangam and Tiruchirapalli Jn was affected for sometime after a trailor-truck got stuck up on the track at an unmanned level crossing near the Tiruchirapalli Town railway station today.
Railway police sources said top officials of the railway and police rushed to the spot and with the help of a crane removed the vehicle from the track.
The Chennai-bound superfast Vaigai Express from Madurai suffered a few minutes delay while the Villupuram-Tiruchirapalli Jn Passenger was detained at Srirangam for nearly 50 minutes. Normal traffic on the section was restored, sources added.
