TDP failed to take up people's issues in House: Congress
Hyderabad, Mar 5 (UNI) The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) today alleged that the Opposition TDP in Andhra Pradesh had totally failed to discuss people's issues and make suggestions to solve them in the House.
Addressing a press conference here, Government Chief Whip N Kiran Kumar Reddy said the TDP was making baseless allegations against the government and wasting the precious time of the House.
There was no meaning in raising a question on former Vigilance Commissioner R C Samal's allegations against the government after his retirement. Mr Samal had not submitted his annual reports to the government during the last three years, he said.
However, the State Government had ordered an inquiry by the Chief Secretary to the government to prove that its governance was transparent.
The Congress leader said it was the responsibility of the opposition parties to make allegations against the government with documentary evidence. The state government had ordered either CBI or Judicial inquiry on all the allegations made by the TDP, but the opposition party had failed to prove even a single allegation, Mr Reddy claimed.
The TDP had obtained stay orders and obstructed all the inquiries on allegations made by the Congress with documentary evidences when it was the opposition, he alleged.
