Reference rate at Rs 40.29 per USD

Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India fixed the Reference Rate for the US Dollar at Rs 40.29 flat today, compared to its yesterday's rate.

The exchange rates for Great Britain's Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were Rs 79.9757 per pound and Rs 36.94 per 100 yen respectively, a RBI release said.
