Over five lakh pilgrims visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi
Jammu, Mar 5 (UNI) Over five lakh pilgrims from various parts of the country visited the holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi during the first two months of this year, official sources here said.
They said during the corresponding period of last year 5.31 lakh pilgrims had visited the holy cave shrine with an increase of over 18,000 pilgrims as the figure touched 5.49 lakh till date this year.
''Alone in the month of February this year 2,19,081 devotees paid obeisance at the Holy Cave,'' officials sources said, adding that presently, 9000 to 10,000 pilgrims were visiting at the base camp Katra town daily pay obeisance at the shrine.
