Maharashtra governor Krishna to resign today

Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna will submit his resignation to President Pratibha Patil today.

Sources close to Mr Krishna told UNI that he has taken an appointment with the President at 1845 hrs today. Mr Krishna will enter active politics in his home state Karnataka where elections were due in May, the source said.
