New Delhi, Mar 5: Engineering and construction major Larsen&Toubro today said it has bagged three orders worth Rs 458 crore for transmission line projects.
The company has received a Rs 238 crore order from Jaypee Powergrid, (a joint venture between Jaiprakash Hydro Power and Power Grid Corporation of India) for the construction of 155 km of transmission line for evacuation of power from the 1000 MW Kacham-Wangtoo Hydro Electric Project. The project is to be completed in a period of 30 months.
It has also secured two orders valued at Rs 220 crore from Power Grid Corporation for the construction of 166 km of 400 kV D/C transmission line associated with Parbati HEP transmission system and 255 km of 400 kV D/C Gorakhpur - Lucknow transmission line associated with Northern Region Strengthening Scheme.
Both the projects will be executed in a period of 24 months, it added.
The scope of the work includes survey, fabrication and supply of transmission line towers and erection of 421 kms of transmission line.
