Hot and humid weather makes day uncomfortable for Kolkatans
Kolkata, Mar 5 (UNI) The city and its adjoining areas today experienced a sultry weather as the mercury shot up well above the normal level with the high relative humidity augmenting the discomfort.
The Alipore Met office recorded the day's maximum temperature at 33.4 degree Celsius, normal for this time of the year, while the minimum was 22.8 degree Celsius, three degree above normal.
The maximum relative humidity was high at 93 per cent.
However, the Met sources ruled out the possibility of any rain or thundershowers during the next 24 hours, though they forecast the sky to remain partly cloudy.
The Met officials also forecast the temperature to hover between 21 to 33 degree Celsius during the next 24 hours.
