High-tech equipment stolen from Assam University
Silchar, Mar 5 (UNI) High-tech equipment worth Rs 15 lakh were stolen from Assam University here.
The accesories stolen yesterday are parts of a large-scale computer networking system of the Central university.
AU registrar Sauri Sengupta today said the equipment were found stolen from the boys' hostel. A complaint has been filed with the Silchar police.
Police said nothing has been recovered. No person involved in the incident has been arrested so far,'' they added.
The registrar said the Univeristy has also instituted an internal investigation into the theft case.
