Health camp marks TN Minister's b'day fete
Chennai, Mar 5 (UNI) A free mega medical camp for the benefit of the poor and weaker sections of the society, was organised by the Chettinad Health City as part of the 56th birthday celebrations of Tamil Nadu Local Administration Minister M K Stalin.
Former MP (DMK) Dr D Masthan organised the camp, in which over 25 specialists from various fields of medicine, 150 doctors and paramedics screened about 4,000 people for different ailments related to heart, lung, eye diseases and diabetes.
Inaugurating the camp Finance Minister K Anbazaghan paid rich tributes to the selfless service of M K Stalin towards the poor and the needy. He complimented Dr D Masthan for putting the entire show together and coordinating with the Chettinad and other hospitals to make this camp special.
Electricity Minister Arcot N Veeraswamy also lauded the efforts in organising a camp.
Dr R Ravikumar, Director, Institute of Cardiovascular Disease, Chettinad Health City, said this was a very comprehensive camp in which people would be treated for all diseases from head to toe.
