Executive engineer arrested with bribe in Bihar
Supaul, Mar 5 (UNI) The Bihar Vigilance Bureau today arrested an executive engineer of road construction department posted here, while accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau, Ram Naresh Singh said Shaligram Singh, a business partner of an Aurangabad based construction company, had complained that Kameshwar Prasad Sinha demanded the bribe to clear the arrear of Rs 22 lakhs pending against their previous road construction work.
Acting on a tip-off, the bureau laid a trap and arrested Sinha while accepting the money at his official residence here, the DSP said, adding that he would be produced in the vigilance court at Patna tomorrow.
