Contributory Pension Scheme on in AP: FM
Hyderabad, Mar 5 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K Rosaiah today said the government has been implementing Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) for the state government employees by deducting 10 per cent of the basic salary and DA.
Replying to a question in the Legislative Council, Mr Rosaiah said the scheme was being implemented for the employees recruited after October one, 2004.
Stating that the government was in the process of adding 10 per cent matching amount to the employee's contribution, he said account numbers would be given to the members of the CPS at the earliest.
Around 33,523 employees have joined the scheme.
Stating that Government Order-653 was issued to implement the CPS, the Minister dismissed demands for revoking it.
