Bird slaughter house in city soon: Mayor

Chandigarh, Mar 5 (UNI) Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Mayor Pardeep Chhabra today said the construction work of bird slaughter house in the city will be started soon.

Mr Chhabra said here today that the Administration had allotted land for the construction of bird slaughter house in the industrial area.

Mr Chhabra said that nearly 40 thousand birds will be slaughtered in the house in the hygienically condition.

He said that he had taken up the issue with the UT Advisor during the first co-ordination meeting, in which the Advisor instructed the Chief Architect for earmarcation of land for the bird slaughter house.

Mr Chhabra said that for the provision of high quality Bird Slaughter House in the city the Centre Government will provide 50 per cent grant and 50 per cent will be beared by the Municipal Corporation.
