YOSpeed electric two-wheeler launched in TN
Chennai, Mar 4 (UNI) After making its market presence felt in Northern and Western India, Electrotherm India Limited today launched its hi-speed, hi-power 'YOSpeed' electric two-wheeler in the Tamil Nadu market.
Electrotherm was the first company to introduce battery-operated electric two-wheelers 'YObykes'.
Hailed as a revolutionary milestone in the history of electric vehicles, YOSpeed was the latest offering from the makers of YObykes.
''It is India's first ARAI approved electric two-wheeler in 750 W category. Unlike the existing range, it has 33Ah long range battery and high power motor (750 W) and can be driven at a comfortable city speed of 45 kmph.'' Electrotherm India Limited Director Avinash Bhandari told newspersons at the launch function that the two-wheeler would run for 70-80 km per charge (with single rider) and 60-70 km with two riders under standard riding conditions.
YOSpeed had been developed keeping in mind the requirements of the people and the rising cost of petrol. ''There is no electric two-wheeler in the country with 33Ah long range battery and 750 W powerful motor which gives real power to seat two persons and provides high range per charge,'' Mr Bhandari said.
'YOSpeed' would be available across the country through the company's 200 plus exclusive YoWorld showrooms, he added.
