Tripura Governor dissolves Assembly

Agartala, March 4 (UNI) Tripura Governor D N Sahaya today dissolved the ninth Assembly following the recommendation of the Council of Ministers by exercising the powers conferred by 174(2)(b) of the Constitution.

The state Cabinet had recommended dissolution of the Assembly yesterday to avoid constitutional crisis apprehending expiry of the schedule of the next session.
