SC Congress MLAs threaten to resign
Hyderabad, Mar 4 (UNI) Congress legislators in Andhra Pradesh Assembly, who belonged to Scheduled Castes (SC) category, have threatened to resign from their posts if any proposal for the classification of the SCs was brought up.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party office here, Congress MLAs N Subramanyam, Narayanaswamy, Rajeswari Devi and Viswaroop said they were against the classification of the Scheduled Castes.
They alleged that Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti President Manda Krishna Madiga, who initially opposed the classification, was now supporing the matter, which was not in favour of majority of the SCs.
