NMCE extends trading session to offset 'sun outage'
Ahmedabad, Mar 4 (UNI) The National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE) has extended the trading session by 45 minutes from today till March 20 in the wake of ''sun outage'', as some trading and clearing members using VSAT connectivity may face network related problems or loss of connectivity with the exchange.
Accordingly, the trading session is being extended up to 1745 hrs instead of 1700 hrs from Mondays to Fridays, and up to 1445 hrs instead of 1400 hrs on Saturdays.
The step has been taken in view of likely temporary loss of connectivity at different locations at different time depending upon the service provider.
The ''sun outage'' timing for HCL Comnet through INSAT-3A KU-Band is from 1104 to 1131 hrs, for HCL Comnet through INSAT-3B Ext-C Band is from 1152 to 1220 hrs, and that for Bharti Airtel through INSAT-3E Ext-C Band is from 1401 to 1425 hrs.
In case of disconnection, the exchange has advised the members to log-in again after an interval of 5 to 10 minutes.
However, members using other modes of connectivity like Internet, Leased Line and Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) may not get affected by the ''sun outage''.
