Ex-gratia relief for 16 militancy cases in Kashmir
Srinagar, Mar 4 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned ex-gratia relief in favour of 16 militancy-related cases in north Kashmir district of Baramulla today.
An official spokesman said a meeting of District Level Screening Committee was held at Baramulla under the Chairmanship of District Magistrate, Baseer Ahmed Khan to discuss various militancy-related cases.
The Committee sanctioned ex-gratia relief of Rs 20.59 lakh in favour of 16 such cases. Of this, Rs 10 lakh were sanctioned in favour of 10 death cases, Rs 8.34 lakh against 3 property damage cases and Rs 2.25 lakh in favour of 3 injured persons.
The committee also referred 4 cases for re-verification while 4 cases were rejected.
