Chaini of Reliance Industries elected IMC President
Mumbai, Mar 4 (UNI) Reliance Industries (Corporate Affairs) President Murlidhar Narayan Chaini and Pijikay Group Chairman Gul Kripalani were today elected President and Vice President respectively of the Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC) for the year 2008-09.
Mr Chaini has served the IMC in various capacities including Vice Presidentship in the previous committee. As the Chairman of the Privatisation Committee of Planning Commission, Maharashtra, Mr Chaini's report is under implementation by the State Government.
Mr Kripalani is engaged in export of seafood and meat to various countries. He has served the industry as the President of the Western Region and then as the National Vice-President of the Seafood Exporters Association of India. He is also on the Governing body of the University of Nagpur (Veterinary Science&Agriculture), the Board of Teen Challenge as well on the Advisory Committee of Habitat for Humanity, India and is also the Convener of the Terry Fox Committee (India).
