Bhubaneswar-Ranchi Garib rath to run from March 7
Bhubaneswar,Mar 4 (UNI) The much awaited fully air-conditioned Garib Rath Super fast tri-weekly Express between Bhubaneswar and Ranchi will start chugging along the tracks from March 7.
The train was declared in the last Railway Budget by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, but could not be introduced leading to resentment in the political circle here.
East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources here said Minister of State for Railways R Velu will flag off the Garib Rath Express from Bhubaneswar Station at 1045 hours on the said date.
The train will run as a special train on its inaugural run would reach Ranchi at 2110 hours on the same day. It would pick up its regular run from Ranchi on March 8 and from Bhubaneswar on March 9.
The 2832 Bhubaneswar-Ranchi tri-weekly Garib Rath Express will leave Bhubaneswar at 2000 hours on every Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays and will arrive Ranchi at 0715 hours the following days.
Similarly, in the return journey the 2831 Ranchi-Bhubaneswar tri-weekly Garib Rath Express will leave Ranchi at 2105 hours on every Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and will arrive Bhubaneswar at 0815 hours on the next days.
The train will have eight AC-3 tiers and two Power cum Guard Coaches in its composition and stop at Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Talcher Road, Angul, Sambalpur City, Jharsuguda, Rourkela and Hatia between Bhubaneswar and Ranchi.
