BGR Energy pre-qualified for Kutch Desalination Plant
Chennai, Mar 4 (UNI) The Chennai-headquartered BGR Energy Systems Limited has pre-qualified for the proposed Rs 750 crore-150 MLD Kutch Desalination Plant in Kutch, Gujarat.
BGR Energy had formed a consortium with Spanish construction companies Inima Medioambiente, S A (OHL Group) and Aqualia, Gestion Integral Del Agua, SA (Group of FCC).
The consortium led by BGR Energy was pre-qualified to set up the desalination plant together with 25-30 MW captive power plant on Design, Build, Own, Operate and Transfer basis. The water purchase agreement will be for a period of 20 years.
Other companies pre-qualified for this project include BEFESA, Spain, GE Infrastructure -- Toyo Engineering Corporation, Adani Enterprises - Veolia, France and Reliance Energy - Degremont, a BGR release here today said.
BGR Energy had built water treatment and effluent treatment facilities for power projects of 120-500 MW capacities.
BGR Energy is currently completing effluent recycle plants in Tamil Nadu, aggregating to 25 MLD, to treat textile effluents.
