We're still awaiting Aussies' verdict on cancellation of tour: Nasim

Lahore, Mar 4 : Following indications from the Australian Players Association that it was mulling cancellation of Pakistan tour, originally scheduled for later this month, and might not even send a representative to assess the security situation, the PCB Chairman Nasim Ashraf has said that they were waiting for an official verdict from Cricket Australia (CA).

He said that the PCB would decide its future course of action after the CA takes its final decision regarding the tour.

"We have not yet received any official intimation from the CA and the PCB will decide the future plan after the CA makes its decision. Since no official statement has been issued on this matter so it will not be fair to comment on the Player's Association's refusal for allowing any official to visit Pakistan," the Daily Times quoted Nasim as saying.

Replying to a question regarding the Australian Players Association's statement saying it won't send even a representative to Pakistan, he said it was just a statement and not an official verdict.

Nasim also chaired a meeting of the PCB officials to discuss the matter, where PCB chief operating officer Shafqat Naghmi and PCB Director (Cricket Operations) Zakir Khan were also present in the meeting.
