Yahya taken to Dharwad for questioning
Hubli, Mar 3 (UNI) Suspected SIMI leader Yahya Khan was today brought to the city by the CoD officers for further interrogation.
The suspected terrorist arrested in Bangalore last month who was taken to an unknown place near Honnali in Davangere district for interrogation yesterday, was brought to Dharwad for further investigation, sources said.
Yahya, Karnataka leader of banned SIMI had allegedly master minded the plans for triggering blasts at several places including tourist spots in the State with the help of his accomplices including Asif Mohammad and Shakeel Mali already arrested by the police.
The COD team is expected to take Yahya to Bangalore again after detailed interrogation in Dharwad, sources said adding that he would be produced before the court at Honnali again on March six for further custody with CoD.
Meanwhile, advocates of Asif Mohammad, who had moved bail application at JMFC I here, have been granted permission to meet the suspected terrorist. The advocates who were expected to meet Asif at Central Prison in Belgaum today, however did not turn up, jail officials said.
