Tripura student commits suicide in UP mosque

Agartala, March 3 (UNI) A 15-year old Madrassa student of Tripura allegedly committed suicide in Deoband mosque in Uttar Pradesh.

Police said here today that the victim's family had been informed by the mosque authorities last night that Abdul Rahim, a resident of Boxnagar in bordering Sonamura of West Tripura, was found hanging in an abandoned room inside the mosque complex yesterday.

However, Rahim's father Mukles Rahaman alleged that his son had been murdered, adding that the mosque authorities had asked for Rs 70,000 to send the body to Tripura.
