Three held for intruding into Raj Bhawan
Chennai, Mar 3 (UNI) Three people from Orissa were arrested for intruding into the high-security Raj Bhawan premises here last night, police said.
They said the trio-- Siddique Hokia, Kuduki Hokia and Ranjith-- were working as construction labourers at the flyover construction site at Kathipara junction in the city.
One of them, said to be mentally challenged, suddenly started running, came to the Raj Bhawan, scaled the sidewalls of the main gate and went in.
The others chased him and in the process entered the Raj Bhawan premises and were later nabbed by the security personnel.
While the two accused were arrested yesterday, securitymen found it difficult to spot the mentally deranged man on the sprawling campus at night. He was handed over to the police this morning.
